Speech Evaluation

Speech evaluations are conducted by speech-language pathologists (SLPs).  At Andersen Psychological Services, we contract out an amazing SLP, Lisa Monheit.  Ms. Monheit has over 25 years of experience working as a school-based SLP.

Speech evaluations typically refer to articulation problems. Most commonly children that have difficulties saying sounds correctly.  For instance saying "wabbit" instead of "rabbit."

However, communication is so much more than just articulation.  Communication is multifaceted and also incorporates language.  Sometimes parents are seeking a language exam when they inquire about speech testing.
