Cognitive Rehabilitation

Dr. Andersen has extensive experience working with adults for a wide variety of reasons.  Typically, individuals will present with a neurological condition (e.g., mild cognitive impairment [MCI], stroke, multiple sclerosis, brain tumor, Parkinson’s disease, etc.) and will have undergone a neuropsychological evaluation.  Dr. Andersen’s focus is often on translating those findings and recommendations and developing practical methods of implementation.  This can be done in Dr. Andersen’s office or the individual’s home.  Depending on the case, Dr. Andersen may implement a comprehensive cognitive rehabilitation program (e.g., Brainwave-R) or In addition to providing compensatory techniques, Dr. Andersen may engage in training techniques to help improve whatever deficit(s) the individual is having.
